Ethiopia is the oldest recognized country of origin for coffee. Prior to the introduction of the Ethiopian Oromia Coffee Farmers' Cooperative Unios (OCFCU) in 1999, all Ethiopian coffee was traded through the Ethiopian coffee auction and farmers would receive as little as $0.25 on the green pound! Now this wonderful coffee bypasses the coffee auction and the farmers receive a fair price for their time honoured work.
The results are this beautiful aromatic coffee. It captivates the drinker's interest as its flavours unfold from approach through aftertaste and as the cup cools. It is bright and light bodied with flowery aromas and caramel background. Look for hints of dried fruit and lime.
